manufacturer of elliptical design tankers with "all stainless steel" construction the standard for bodies. Meticulous care and
attention to detail in the design and building of the equipment is taken to ensure first rate performance on the scene.
Take a close look at the tankers and pumpers we have delivered and you will understand why U.S. Tanker Fire
Apparatus is TOUGH UNDER FIRE and the choice of fire departments everywhere.
Pumps
We install fire pumps from all the leading suppliers, such as W.S. Darley, Hale and Waterous. Sizes range from
portables to 2500 gpm full midship mounted pumps. C.A.F.S. and foam
proportioner/regulator systems can be supplied at your request. We test and certify pumps at our own facility under
independent third party supervision.
Pump House and Panel
Every Pumphouse is fabricated from type 304 stainless steel, including the framework, as standard. Both sidemount
and topmount are available and strength and longevity are integral in the design.
Functionality and simplicity are the keys to the panel layouts on either brushed stainless steel or black vinyl coated
aluminum. NFPA standards are followed for positioning gauges and color codes. The latest electronic controls are
available if desired.
Compartments
All compartments are custom fabricated to your requirements using type 304 stainless steel and are fully ventilated.
Floors are sweep out design, fully supported underneath for heavy loads. Doors designed for strength and rigidity are
flush mounted, 2 inch double pan construction with inner reinforcement.
Stainless steel continuous "piano type" hinges and stainless steel D-ring latches with a two point safety slam latch
are used throughout. Roll-up compartment doors are available as an option.
Electrical System
The electrical system conforms to the latest federal standards and NFPA 1901-1966 edition recommendations. All
wire is coded and run in a protective loom. Each circuit is individually protected with automatic circuit breakers.
Relays and terminal blocks are used extensively. Rubber grommets are used wherever a wire loom passes through
sheet metal. Electrical panels are carefully designed and constructed for safety, accessibility and ease of
maintenance.
Ladder Racks
Ladder racks can be custom built to your requirements and include "static" stainless steel racks or hydraulic and
electric powered racks built integrally to the body.
